Database

All, Strapi 5, Piwigo and Metabase require a database for their operation. We are using mysql for this purpose and, for easy installation and maintenance, the official docker version of it.

Unfortunately, the currently used Webserver is lacking a number of hardware features which the latest version of mysql requires. The mysql version had hence to be limited to 8.4.0 on oraclelinux8

For easy access to the database an adminer side container is installed and its web frontend can be reached through the Tailscale VPN. The adminer frontend of the Webserver's (Strapi, Metabase) databases can be accessed here and for the Piwigo database here.

TIP

You must be connected to the Tailscale network to reach both of these servers.
